Meet Dr. Peterson
Dr. Peterson brings enthusiasm, poise, and a kind, gentle nature with him to WAOMS. He shares in the philosophy of making a difference in our community by operating with the utmost patient care, achieving positivity and serving with integrity and compassion.
Dr. Peterson began his training at Idaho State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 2009. He chose to complete his professional training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, graduating in 2013 at the top of his class. Following Dental school Dr. Peterson elected to complete his Medical Degree at the University of Medical School where he received high honors. He went on to complete his surgical training at the University of Michigan Hospital System and served as the Chief Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident from 2018-2019. During this time, he was recognized for excellence both clinically and in his leadership roles.
Dr. Peterson’s profession and love for philanthropy has afforded him opportunities to give back within the local and international communities. He’s traveled to both Mexico and Honduras to perform Cleft Lip and Palate surgeries for the pediatric population in need.
When not in the office you might find Dr. Peterson exploring the Pacific Northwest mountains and waterways. Growing up in Idaho Dr. Peterson learned a great love and respect for the outdoors. His favorite outdoor past times are hiking, mountain biking, skiing and snowshoeing, as well as year-round fishing. He is an avid sports fan, growing up playing football and baseball, and rooting for the Seahawks and the Mariners!
